Gold Run Ranch
Wild Surroundings with all the amenities!

Set at the foot of the majestic La Plata Mountains, Gold Run Ranch is a unique opportunity to have an alpine forest with lush meadows. Adjacent to hundreds of thousands of acres of public land, this private sanctuary has tall pines, year round stream, water rights & magnificent views!

Gold Run is located above the "Mancos Valley" near Gold Run Trailhead and Jackson Lake recreational area. The Gold Run Trailhead is the launch to miles of wilderness trekking, fishing & hunting! Cool mountain streams with native Cutthroat Trout abound in addition to abundant herds of Elk & Deer.

Gold Run is located 4 miles from the quaint western town of Mancos with restaurants, grocery & schools. Durango is a mere 33 miles to the east. Mesa Verde National Park is 15 miles west but the key attribute is the San Juan National Forest in your backyard.

Gold Run is adjacent to State Land which is adjacent to San Juan Nat'l Forest. A horse trail leads from the ranch to the National Forest around Jackson Lake (216 acre surface area). Tall Ponderosa Pines surround lush meadows with water rights from Jackson Lake. The tail water stream (Chicken Creek) runs through the property.

Magnificent views are of the snow-capped La Plata peaks to the east, Mesa Verde and Sleeping Ute Mountain to the West (over Bauer Reservoir) and Menefee Mountains to the South. Tall pines, Conifer, Cedar and Oak trees give variety to the property.

A small cabin kitchen with covered picnic area is right on the streamside! A campfire area is complete with TeePee and log seating. Get to know the resident herd of Deer on the ranch who are not too shy.

Gold Run Ranch has no restrictions and is currently zoned agricultural so the tax base is extremely low. This is an extremely private setting!

Directions: Hwy. 160 West from Durango 27 miles to Mancos, North on Hwy. 184 about 1/4 mile and Right on Jackson Lake Road (Rd. 42) 4 miles to Road N west 1 mile to Gold Run Ranch.
